Personal Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family (especially traveling) and working in my yard. Golf, basketball, and tennis are some of my favorite ways to stay active. I also like to listen to audio books and true crime podcasts.

Biography

Dr. Mallory McRae is a life-long Bainbridge resident. Born in Selma, Alabama, Dr. McRae moved to Bainbridge in 1974. He graduated from Bainbridge High School and attended Presbyterian College in South Carolina where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. In 1994 Dr. McRae attended the Medical College of Georgia and received his M.D. After medical school, he move to Chattanooga, Tennessee for residency training in Internal Medicine at Erlanger Hospital. Dr. McRae completed his residency in 2001, moved back home to Bainbridge, and accepted a position as a physician with Memorial Hospital and Manor. In 2004 Dr. McRae, along with Dr. Dave Phillips, opened Bainbridge Medical Associates.

Dr. McRae is licensed to practice Internal Medicine through the Georgia Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. McRae has published papers and presented with the American Medical Association and the American College of Gastroenterologists. Recently, he was inducted into the Decatur County Sports Hall of Fame for his performance as a two-time State Champion high school tennis player and an All-American college player. Dr. McRae has been happily married to his high school sweetheart for twenty-five years, they have four children, three dogs and numerous cats.
